Abstract
Countries compete to secure their industrial and technological capabilities in a world where science, technology, economics, and politics are intertwined as critical security issues. This study examines legal frameworks and cases in seven different countries: the United States, China, and amid the recent emergence of technological security policies and discussions on legislation. While previous approaches to advanced technology have primarily focused on economic justifications for technological security at the corporate and industrial levels, there is now a need to recognize advanced technologies as a component of national security and develop national-level strategies. It necessitates policy measures such as developing national technological security strategies, improving the effectiveness of governmental organizations, and expanding technical diplomacy efforts to strengthen technological security.
